Shopping Girl
I’m at a public pc at Leiden University, but I managed to upload some photo’s of the items I got during a little shopping spree in Amsterdam & Leiden…

Next week Tanuki is organising a Harajuku Party. And the dresscode is Japanese Street Wear. Although Japanese Harajuku Lovers are pretty radical sometimes, I wanted an outfit I could actually wear during the day *gulp* I’m taking my outfit for a testdrive, because I’m going to wear it to Juanes‘ concert tonight ♥
The weather has been pretty good here in The Netherlands. And it really inspires me to go out and buy nice clothes for the hot spring/summer days. I want to get a bikini for my vacation in Portugal and I was browsing some items at H&M Amsterdam. Suddenly a girl said with a bitchy voice: “Well I’m not going to buy MY bikini at H&M this year. I don’t want to see dozen of other girls wearing the same one when I’m on the beach!”
Haha, I almost wanted to say: “Well, maybe if you’d stop going to all the typical vacation resorts you might find out you’re the only one who’s wearing it!” She really looked like the girl who always goes to a Spanish party island every summer, with loads of other Dutch girls. So it isn’t that strange to see girls wearing the same bikini, right? But I just kept my mouth shut and smiled.
Although I don’t like it when people close to me are wearing the same clothes as I do. I never have problems if a stranger buys the same top. I mean clothes aren’t the only thing. I believe it’s also about ‘wearing’ your clothes. People have a certain ‘air’ about them. And ofcourse clothes fit you or not…
Wrapping up with a shopping girl tip: Never believe you have to buy a complete set in the same store. Get your jeans at shop A and your top at shop B. Mix and match, that’s the way to go. Also if you like the ‘ready to wear fashion’ you see at Elle.com, but you don’t have the cash. Use the pics as inspiration and try to mix expensive ‘you just had to buy it’-items with bargain stuff. Er, that were 2 tips - right? Zya ne!

Yeah, It bothers me when I see an entire outfit from one store… Like, ON a person. xD Esp if its one of the outfits that was on the manequinn. Its like - “I know where you got that!!!”
Anyway, the bag you bought looks really pretty!

Oh, I love the green top and the bag the most! Everything you bought is really nice though. I mix and match all the time. I rarely ever buy a whole outfit at one store, unless it’s a dress
I think people just have to accept the fact that someone out there is going to have the same stuff as you, it’s inevitable. I don’t think it is a huge deal. Like you said, it’s all about how you wear it.

I like the green top, looks nice. Amsterdam is awsome for a shopping trip, I like going there.
Haha, the part about the typical Spanish resorts cracked me up. I can exactly imagine what you mean. I don’t get why people wanna go there every year either.

Well, that is a bit shitty about H&M. They have so many nice things that everybody wears everywhere.
Same here in Norway and the Spanish Islands things, hehe. I travel to South Amrica and they have hot clothes at much lower prices that I’d rather buy everything there when I am on holidays and then take it to Norway, cause I know NO ONE is gonna have it. Besides, Latins wear smaller clothes and show more skin without being slutty. I like that.
I liked all the items you bought. Specially the bag. My grandma used to have one of those before but now they’re back.
I think I am gonna get one too because I love them. And obviously, the same bag can you get at H&M Norway too.
Have a nice day!!!

The purse that you bought is really pretty! I like all the detailing on it and the colors are so cute. It’s definitely something I would buy for myself.

The top is beautiful! Actually, I experienced being with a public transport with someone wearing the same outfit! It was really funny and people are staring at us. I wonder if they think we know each other.. lol.
