I’m so addicted to Ouran High School Host Club 
when I hear the opening track it makes me so HAPPY PEPPY !!! And happiness is just what I need, especially since the nice weather seems to have disappeared in The Netherlands. Only cold weather and loads of rain over here 
OK OK the sun has been out, but for the most part the weather has been bleehhhhh! To fight the cold/rainy weather blues I’ve uploaded the opening track of OHSHC “Sakura Kiss” sung by Chieco Kawabe ♥ You can view the crazy videoclip of the song here.
Well I’m off gonna enjoy a nice cup of tea and read the OHSHC manga I received by mail this morning

Sorta like vacation
With no classes left and Tanuki boardmeetings only once a week until summervacation begins, I’m spending most of my time in my hometown. It already feels like vacation. I’ve been eating out at nice restaurants, went shopping, to the movie theater and got pampered at a beauty salon
My hometown isn’t very big and only has a few good restaurants or ’sit, drink and have a bite’ places. So when a new place opens its doors everyone wants to check it out. Same goes for Zusjes de Boer (Sisters de Boer), a nice place inspired by English pubs and also a perfect place to have a drink and grab a quick bite during the day! I love the style and the menu has some delicious things too. I believe it’s the perfect place to sit down after shopping and have a quick bite without ruining your dinner 
I will defenitely go there for a drink again!
I’ve decided to get monthly facials to improve my skin and my mom offered to pay for the first treatment! My mom treated me to a Hydradermie Treatment at a local Beauty Salon. After one treatment my skin has already improved a little, but of course it will take more treatments to see a big difference I also got my eyebrows done, but the esthetician kept on plucking *sigh* my eyebrows look nice, but I kinda miss my tomboy somewhat more ‘clean & natural’ looking ones 
The treatment ended with a short neck and shoulder massage, but that was sooo painful! I really should get a deep tissue massage to release all the tension *sigh*
Inspired by the Final Fantasy VII Piano Collection CD I’ve started to play the piano again. I have to spend loads of money on other things, still I’m trying to save some money for the official FFVII Piano Collection Book so I can buy it after summervacation or something. Till then I will have to use scans *sigh* I want to be able to play One Winged Angel - fans know the song is insane and even taking a look at the sheetmusic made me sick. But what a nice feeling it would be to say “I did it” after playing it perfectly on the piano わい — いい感じだね。Final Fantasy VII was the first RPG I played and although it came out almost 10 years ago it remained my no. 1 favorite. Next to practicing my favorite FFVII songs I’m also practicing X-Japan’s Forever Love again It seems deep down I am a fangirl!
My professor returned the grade of my ‘Marxism in Japan’ paper, although he gave me some extra time to re-write it. I felt so empty and only improved it a little. Still I got a B+, my professor thought it was a good paper and that it was also an amibitious one. Hahah I totally drowned in all the readings so I’m glad I got a good grade 
So now it’s back to grammar from bungotai to kougotai and kanji. Just two weeks of wrapping things up in Leiden to go and I will finally be able to really enjoy summervacation.

Choco to ka Cookie to ka ?

Tuesday I finally got my hands on the Doña Jimena chocolates Klaas bought for me in Spain. Although the box says chocolates they’re more like cookies, but I sure do love ‘em 
I gave Klaas an early birthday present. Cookies in a small, but super sweet Hello Kitty paper bag and the DVD of Charlie and the Chocolatefactory (?). We’re both fan of Johnny Depp and we loved the movie when we saw it in the theatre together. He liked the cookies and of course loved getting another Johnny Depp movie on DVD.
Instead of staying home Klaas really wanted to take me to a Jazz session at Het Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam. Every tuesday night there’s a special jazz evening with talented artists and there’s no entrance fee! We got there a little late so we could only enjoy 1 hour of music and chitchat with friends of Klaas who also decided to go. I always go a little quiet around people I don’t know. I started to wonder if my shy nature could also be mistaken with arrogance and indifference. But Klaas told me he didn’t think so. Oh well, I think I’ll try to relax some more when I’m around people I don’t know, maybe it will help me to open up.
I really liked going out instead of staying at Klaas’ room that night. But I had been busy all day and next to breakfast I didn’t have a proper meal. So when we got back at Klaas’ place around 1:00 am I really didn’t feel well. Klaas still had a pizza and after we warmed it up I felt sooo much better. Klaas lives in a student appartment complex and he has to share a kitchen. It’s defenitely not the cleanest place I’ve seen and when we entered the kitchen that night I saw 2 mice running over the kitchen counter top and 1 running over the floor !!! 
I’m glad Klaas is moving out in the summervacation *gulp* / Haha, during summervacation I probably won’t be coming around much, so…
Today Klaas was in our hometown to celebrate his birthday at home. I was also invited to come round his parents’ place for some tea and sweets ♥ I brought along an extra present, a book written by Arnon Grunberg. I’m such a big fan of the special AKO literature price series I decided to buy me a book too. I’ve already read The Friendship, but I so loved it and I just wanted to own a copy too. About buying books__ I love Ouran High School Host Club so much I’ve also decided to read the manga and ordered the first two volumes through Bol.com 
I defenitely enjoyed spending time with Klaas. He gave me a special flyer of a college event at the University of Amsterdam, he modelled for it He kinda looks scary, but it sure is cool to have his face plastered all over university! Haha I asked if he could also sign it, you never know he might become famous someday 
The paper thing went ok, I handed it in and asked if I could work on it some more because I wasn’t happy with it. The professor gave me some pointers and the new deadline is tomorrow
