It’s already May ?

Woahhh - I can’t believe it’s already May *sigh* Time flies! Haha and I can’t wait until it’s September, but I think I will defenitely enjoy summervacation too. Although I’m starting Communication Science at UvA (?) in September and devote almost all my time to this new study. I still have to brush up my Japanese language skills and so I’ve started to study kanji again. During summervacation I’m also going to practice conversation. Now that I know I will be able to study Communication Science and Japanese, I really feel motivated (again) :D

Rundown casefan NEW book : Fantoompijn by Arnon Grunberg

Next to studying kanji, I’ve been reading loads and of course trying to catch a movie. Titles I can really recommend: ‘Een Schitterend Gebrek’ written by Arthur Japin or translated in English In Lucia’s Eyes. Be sure to follow the link to read more about it! I’ve finally seen The Constant Gardener, defenitely a must see movie. What is it with multinationals and scandals? *sigh* Still the movie was interesting and somewhat frightening too. I’m currently reading ‘Fantoompijn’ written by Arnon Grunberg. I enjoy it, but my reading pace has gone down a little after simply devouring books in 3 days or less. Now I only have 2 books to go for the challenge.

I’ve convinced my parents to not buy a pc this year, but wait untill Windows Vista hits the consumer market next year or something. Perfect timing to update my current almost 3-year old pc. I’ve upgraded the memory from 256MB RAM to 512MB and I replaced the casefan, because it was kinda noisy. I still want to replace the CPU fan (just to be sure) and get a DVD burner installed, but that will happen somewhere in the near future (read: when I have more money). Luckily my parents thought it was fair to split the costs of the upgrade ♥ The double memory really makes things work smoother AND I can finally play Guild Wars again without too much lag.

Ooohh my mom and sister went to Melly’s Cookiebar when my mom went to Amsterdam for a haircut at Toni&Guy. They bought some cookies so I could also enjoy them and ohhh they were truly oishiiiiiiiii !!!!!! It seems the shop also has the best Italian Coffee in Amsterdam *sigh* My mom did feel kinda bad I wasn’t there with them, especially after I talked about the shop so much…

Oh that class looks fun!!! :D! Yah I think I have much exceeded 12 books but well too bad I read like a lot by the same author so I sorta still have more to go but with the way I read I will get it done soon especially since in the summer I have too much time to read! Haha I read like 3 books a week! Yah Im a dork! Yah I just got a new laptop! I was too lazy to wait because in 2 years I get one for college too and well my computer was going on 10 years old! It was soo slow!!!! But glad you had fun with your mom too :D!

hah, your kanji handwriting is way better than mine XD

Though I can’t wait for June either, not because it’s vacation, but it’s when my dad comes to see me :s

I wish I was as motivated as you. Enjoy your summer vacation while you can! It will be over before you know it!

kanji sounds so cool, and those pictures are cool too….

Wow! I think you’re great for studying Japanese.. it’s good to get multicultural and multilingual :)

Enjoy your summer vacation! :o)

Wow, kanji is difficult, isn’t it? I’m almost done with Japanese 1, so I know only a few kanji. In Japanese 2, however, I’ll have to know 150 kanji.

Anyway, yay for upgrading computers! I’ve have mine for like 5 years with a few upgrades, but it’s still running like it did the day I opened the box.

That movie, In Lucia’s Eyes, seems quite interesting. I might have to check it out.

I can’t be motivated to study ANYTHING, seriously haha. I know, May came by soo fast. Then June

Wow, your Japanese characters are pretty! I mean, they look kinda like Chinese characters and yeah, it’s nice. lol. just rambling.

Ohayoooo!

Oh wow, the Japanese language seems really cool :D That’s good that you feel motivated, then you shouldn’t have any problems studying, but good luck anyway!
I want to watch the Constant Gardener! It loooks goooood :)
Wow, Guild Wars looks so cool! I wanna play but I bet I can’t :(
I’ve never tried cookies from Melly’s Cookiebar before, but I’m sure they taste like heaven. Ooh, I feel like eating one now!! Mmm…

I want to learn Japanese too! Is that your handwriting? hmm it seems that there are a few characters which are like the Chinese ones but I wonder if they have the same meaning.

Aww it’s nice to know you’re feeling motivated again. Hooray for being able to take both. Good luck with them! I’d love to be able to read/speak japanese. Mmm cookies, they sound nice. Jealous! :D

My Japanese friends tell me that kanji is really hard. And I know why, after many years of watching Japanese shows, like TV champion. *Giggle* But no, I’m not Japanese. Sometimes I wish I was. Their culture are so beautiful and so exotic.
