Out it goes!
The last couple of days I’ve been planning and playing around with my calculator. I found out I need to spend close to € 300,- on books, syllabi and other schoolstuff for the first semester of Communication Science! Luckily my parents always refund at least 50% of costs related to studybooks. And I’ve started a strict monthly saving plan so all planned payments over the coming months go smoothly 
After reading Cosmopolitan UK for almost 5 years, I finally decided I need a change. Unlike my big sister who usually only looks at the clothes in fashion magazines, I love to read the articles too. But after a while magazines tend to repeat themselves. ‘Feel confident naked’, ‘How to get a payrise’ or ‘My mother cheated with my fiancé!’. Been there, seen it, read it all *sigh* So I’ve decided to (finally) subscribe to CanCam magazine ♥ From July this sweet Japanese fashion magazine will be send directly to my home

Klaas has returned from his Spain trip and he didn’t forget to buy the Doña Jimena chocolates at the airport. I only spoke to him on the phone so we didn’t really have an intimate conversation about our relationship and such - yet (?). But he told me he didn’t ‘misbehave’ during the trip. Argh, there goes my ‘meeting a nice girl and settle down’ wish. Maybe he tells me about it after we do meet up somewhere next week, but I have no reason to doubt him right now. We’ve always been pretty honest with eachother.
Haha, maybe I do get what I’ve wished for. Klaas has been accepted to study at a university in Madrid next year. It’s still pretty far in the future (february ‘07) and everything can happen. Although I’m really happy for him it also made me feel kinda NANA-ish (?). I’ve decided not to tell him about the whole downgrading to a platonic level thing. I’ll let things develop naturally and stick to what I think is most important. Be kind and loving to eachother ♥ Well I hope there’s still a nice trip to Madrid in it for me 
Back to here and now! Have to go to bed NOW~ Tomorrow I have to go back to Leiden to pick up books for my final paper for canon ‘History of Idea’s’. I want to write a paper about ‘Marxism in Japan’ and you know what’s so great about it? One of the books I want to use, is written by my professor. Don’t like that at all !!!

Ugh, I totally know what you mean by Cosmopolitan… I felt the same way when I read things like that. There’s really only so much they can write about that appeals to the age group. But, that CanCam is interesting. 
I think I’m a tad bit confused with the Klaas thing. I mean, it seems like you are seeing each other, but are technically not boyfriend/girlfriend. I guess I’m a little confused on your standpoint of the relationship. You want to be his girlfriend or just friends? I think I’m just a little confused. But either way, letting things happen naturally is the best way to go… I think at least.
Madrid? There is a study abroad program at my college that is over there. I tried to beg my mother to pay for me to go, but she wouldn’t have any of it. But, Madrid seems like an awesome place.
Marxism? I’ve never even heard of that… But its interesting that a book you want to use was written by your professor. I don’t think any of my professors have written any books.

Sorry about the confusion Sai! Klaas and I were boyfriendxgirlfriend for 2.5 years during High School and early college. But we broke up__ now almost 2.5 years after the break up we’re still very close. Sometimes Klaas treats me like his girlfriend e.g. he wants me to look cute and act like a girlfriend in public too. But he doesn’t want to be in a relationship again *ugh* 
It’s really confusing, so I rather be just (good) friends or in an official relationship. But I guess it’s my fault too, I do enjoy this ‘fake’ boyfriendxgirlfriend thing at times. Maybe I should draw the line myself — haha I’m already telling him if he wants a cute looking girl he should find himself a girlfriend
So I’ll just let it develop naturally. I think deep down I already know Klaas doesn’t know what he wants for himself right now. Before he grows up and can decide what he wants from life, he isn’t able to take a decision related to our relationship. I would be happy to just be his friend, so I’ll stick to that.

Ik ben juist gefascineerd geraakt door Christian Bale door American Psycho Ik vond hem fantastisch in die film! En grappige is: vrienden van Niels vergelijken hem met Patrick Bateman in die film. Omdat ie ook vrij arrogant en ijdels is hihi. Gelukkig niet de psychopatische trekjes.
Well, now I understand. It’s incredible that you two remained close friends… I’d never be able to do that. But yeah, this is one of those things where you just wait and see what happens. However, when he says that he didn’t misbehave on his trip, it kinda sends a message that he thinks of you as more than just a friend. I think that if you have patience and wait for him, it will all work out.
I’m guilty of reading the same magazines, issue after issue. But I don’t read any of them for fashion, just the articles, usually.

Aww I agree with you the best thing to do is just let things happen naturally you know that’s always the greatest thing to do I wish some other girls could see that when it comes to guys. The girls I know always wanna push things and rush which never really gets their relationship where they want it anyhow cause they always end up breaking up or something and then they wonder why.
Yeah, a magazine does get repetitive with their articles. Most give pretty much the same info and same advice. I mostly get them for the fashion but some articles are interesting too.
I agree about Cosmopolitan, I mean, I love it, and the fashion keeps it fresh, but the articles get repetitive.
My FAVORITE part is always going to be the embarassing stories though, I dont know if I could stop getting the mag because I absolutely love those
I’ve never been into fashion magazines that much. I enjoy fashion, I just don’t think I’m a magazine type person unless it’s related to music of some sort.
I wouldn’t worry about the professor being the author of a book you want to use. If you look on the bright side you can find small details and knitpick them within your paper.
I love this layout, its adorable! I know what you mean about magazines repeating themselves over and over again. I didn’t realize that Cosmo has a UK version too though. But I guess that should have been a no brainer right?
Relationships are tricky tricky business.

I like to buy different magazines and usually rotate between each of them, and music magazines. It’s nice. ^_^ That CanCam looks cool too.
haha, i love reading magazines like that just because some of the stories are usually just outrageously stupid, like the woman who had plastic surgery because she wanted to look like a ken doll!

Your situation with Klaas sounds a bit like one I had with an ex, for four years after breaking up. I wanted something serious & he didn’t. He knew though, but let me torture myself all that time lol. I finally found someone else, but I’m still friends with him. So.. good luck with your situation with Klaas as well

you know, i dont usually read magazines. but when i do, i read them for the same reason you do. :] the articles make a good read, but the fashion & photoshoots & ect are amazing ! xox
haha, yay for japanese fashion! they always seem to have interesting clothes compared to the rest of the world… i definitely agree about the repetitive articles, but people seem to like reading them anyway, even if they have to read it 235 times, heh.

That magazine looks like fun fashion! I love different stuff. But yah school sounds um fun? Not really i hate school but good luck with it.
