Although I could lay back, relax and next to the usual computer stuff simply enjoy doing nothing 
I decided to look for a temporary job during the summer. I already landed a catering job at TT Circuit Assen during the Dutch TT. But last week I received a short text message if I could also work yesterday at Festival Mundial in Tilburg as an ice cream seller. Because I also want to get more work experience next to earning some cash I decided to take the job.
Too be honest it was kinda insane. Tilburg is around 230 kilometers or 142.9 miles from my hometown and the job agency 
So my colleagues and I wondered why they couldn’t get people for the job close by. It turned out to be a clear warning sign *gulp* Luckily the job agency had rented two cars so we could drive to Tilburg, it was a 3 hours drive with toilet and smoking breaks 
We started working from 12h00 till 22h00 and left the festival close to 23h00 — and yeah after that two tired colleagues who also had to work for 10 hours straight without an official break had to drive back again! 
I really feel for them - it was really hard. The girl who drove our car almost broke down *gulp*
But luckily there were things that made working in the bad conditions we were in still fun. I had to sell icecream near the Millenium Stage and saw some great perfomances of Absent Minded, Intwine, Postman & KANE 
Also seeing all the happy faces of the little kids whose parents bought them icecream made me forget I still had to take a break. Also some parents really reminded me of my parents when I was little. Although some kids were defenitely too young for a Magnum-like icecream, parents still bought them because it made their kids smile even more. Haha my parents have always pampered their kids waaaay too much (?). I’m just glad I made it through the day, it sure was a somewhat nice experience!
I pimped up my notebook with an über-cute wallpaper from www.mongovillage.net, if you haven’t heard of it - be sure to check it out! I so love the tiny birdies わあああああい~ ちょうかわいい !!! And I decided to install The Sims 2 too. I’m thinking about buying the Open For Business Expansion Pack 
I also received the UvA registration forms, I will be filling them in and sending them back today.

Yeah, I’m a great fan of mongovillage, too! I printed out all those cute stationary when we bought this all-in-one printer.

Earning money is always good. I’m all excited to receive my payment for this month, because I’ve been working like mad last week… $_$

Theres a new Sims2 expansion pack!?!?!?!?!? Ohmygosh!! *must get*zombie* I LOVE THE SIMS. its so amazingly addicting. I love making super families. *excited* okay,okay, calmed down. I like that background from mongovillage, its my new one, only thing is they dont have my screen res (mine is like super-ultra big) but oh well :)!
Ooh, I miss playing the sims! I was hooked at one point, and haven’t touched it in years. I should really reinstall… hmm.
I have no idea what mongovillage is, but the wallpapers are just too cute!
Holy crow I love the Sims! If you do end up buying the “Open for Business”, let me know how it is okay?

Well, your job certainly seems interesting. Being an ice cream seller isn’t all that bad, and if you get to watch performances, then the drawbacks don’t seem as huge.
Congrats on getting the job at the TT. The job at that festival sounds pretty bad though, not having a break for 10 hours is just horrid. I bought that expansion pack for sims 2 a couple weeks ago and I’m ashamed to admit I haven’t gotten to play it yet. It’s because I take so long on building a house… It did gave me an idea of what I’ll be doing today on my day off.
Wow! that is a really long drive. Hopefully it won’t be too stressful in the long-run. I’m glad you had a nice experience though. I enjoyed reading your blog.
Ahh, that wallpapet’s definitely beautiful. *points to the previous entry* Congrats on getting a notebook.:D Anyway, the job hours are really long! I hope they do pay well. And selling Ice Cream sounds so fun. I want one too!

OH man i love the sims! I dont own any of the expansion packs..just sims 2..good luck at registering for school…i need to do that myself…ugh..

Hehe smiles make everyone happy huh. SIMS! OMG I love that game. It’s so addicting…like wow. I never though clikcing on things and making pixelated people do what I want them to do would be so much fun.
The Sims 2! The game is wicked, too wicked. I couldn’t stop playing that game until my laptop’s hardrive burnt. lol. And now you’re getting another extension pack, I’m so envious.
And yay for your Japanese, I wanted to learn it so bad. Envious X2!

Atleast you’ve found one. I’m still looking for one. I failed getting one this summer. Atleast the local grocery store is hiring in Bakery and Deli so I dropped off a resume there xD

Mongovillage rocks!!! I used to print that stuff out like the chick boxes for my old job. I should do that for my new one too!!
