A Surprise Visit

I’m currently at Leiden University in one of the computer rooms. I finally ordered a new wireless router so I can also enjoy internet access at my room, but it came in on monday afternoon (hometown) - just when I went to Leiden monday morning *sigh* :P But I think I will be ONLINE at the end of the week - yaaaiiii !!!

Yesterday I went to Amsterdam to pick up my mom’s wallet at Magna Plaza, one of my favorite shopping places in Amsterdam. The stores are so-so, but the building is just beautiful! Eto, back to the wallet. My mom went to Toni & Guy on Sunday, but somebody stole her wallet! She found out when she got back to my sister’s place in Almere and was busy blocking all bankcards.

Later, I (still in my hometown) got a phone call of security that somebody had found the wallet and brought it to the lost and found department. Of course all the money was gone, but luckily all her cards and ID were still in it. Since my Public Transport card is valid again I told my mom I would pick it up for her the next day. Security was able to contact us, because my mom left some adress tags of our vacation to Portugal in here wallet with her adress and phone number - smart move !!! ;)

The weather was still great in Amsterdam so I decided to give Klaas a call. I thought he would also be in the city, but he was still cooped up in his room. He thought it was OK if I went to visit him, so I did. He told me he didn’t do anything yet - he just didn’t feel like doing anything that day. Hmm, maybe a little bit of PMS? :D So I told him we had to go outside, do something FUN. We decided to get a drink at Het Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ. We sat down by the water - kinda chilly, but with the sun it was really lovely. Should always bring my digital camera with me!

When you’re spending € 20,– on grocery shopping at AH you get a special ‘2nd movie ticket for free’ coupon. So Klaas and I decided to buy more stuff than we actually needed, but we got that coupon! We haven’t planned a movie date yet, so… Klaas told me he isn’t quite eating right lately, but he also didn’t feel like cooking. I decided to cook him some home-made macaroni and salmon. I think he thought it looked rather scary, but he told me he really loved it

Because it was somewhat of a surprise visit I had to get back to Leiden. I missed the bus and had to walk from the station to my place. I really hate that, it’s always so quiet after closing time *sigh* I was able to get home safe so no worries! :)

Change of Plans

I planned on going to my room in Leiden yesterday, but I overslept :( I decided to immediately go to Amsterdam. I still have to take care of my registration at Leiden University. Here in The Netherlands it’s possible to pay the tuition fee of one university and study at a 2nd one for free :D I’ve decided to pay the tuition fee of the University of Amsterdam and get a proof of payment for my registration at Leiden University. Because I still don’t know the layout of all the University Buildings in Amsterdam I asked if Klaas would like to come with me and take me to the Student Administration.

Normally it takes 2 hours to get from my hometown to Amsterdam by train, but yesterday it took me 3 hours! Trains were delayed or not riding at all due to an accident and I had to take another train to Amsterdam. I thought everything would go just fine, but because of some other malfunction it went painfully slow. There was also a man sitting in the train who wasn’t talking, but SCREAMING on his cellphone. He also turned the sound of his phone up, so when the girl he was talking to started to scream too - the whole compartment could hear her too  When I was almost at Amsterdam CS a little kid started to cry very loudly too!

I rushed to the trams so I could meet up with Klaas, but when we finally got to the Student Administration I only had 10 minutes left to take care of everything and there were still loads of people inside. I decided to call it a day and try it sometime later. I think I’ll send them an email first explaining everything so I only have to pick up the document - or something. I’m still happy Klaas wanted to escort me to the SA, especially since he’s a big fan of ‘if you can do it yourself - you should do it yourself’ - philosophy :P

Maybe it was because Klaas and I haven’t seen each other much during the summer :( The last time we got together was when we went to see POTC 2 in Tuschinski. He really thought it was nice for me to stay over at his new room. Luckily Klaas didn’t have to find a new place after summer, he could just move to another room in the same student apartment! We went grocery shopping together, cooked dinner and watched Gigli together. The movie wasn’t great, but I am a big Jennifer Lopez Movies fan  hahahaha~ I’m so glad Klaas got a bigger bed in his new room too, I slept like a baby  It was fun to hang out with Klaas again, I’m sure going to miss him when he’s off to Spain next year!

Before I go I would like to plug my new domain: Convoitise .org :D It’s going to be the new home of all the (future) fanlisting and fansites I run. Hence the name convoitise which is the French word for desire, envy, lust and greed - sorta. That way I will also be able to keep my personal site separate, so… Anyway it will be online very very soon! ;)

Get your paws on it!
