Back to School
Ugh~ so last week classes started at UvA. I only have 2 courses during Block 1 of the first semester, but they are both pretty intense
The lectures are very interesting and pretty relaxed, the practicum classes are hard work and unfortunately very strict. Because I didn’t want to fail the two classes by missing 1 practicum class I decided to cancel my trip to Portugal
My parents and my sister are still going, they all felt really sad about me not coming along. I felt really down about it too, but I just don’t have the time to sulk *sigh*
Yesterday I already had my first presentation and handed in my first short paper
I’m glad I’ve finished that assignment before college gets seriously busy! Also the classes at Leiden University have started this week. This semester I only follow some management classes that I failed last year and I have to make a Japanese exam. I’ve been a real good girl and went to all the lectures even those at 9 a.m. - which meant I had to wake up at 6:30 a.m.
I’m already in bed around 22 p.m. and I eat pretty healthy too! I need to get back in shape and stay that way pretty soon. The Intreeweek proved to be pretty hard on my health. I didn’t get enough sleep and didn’t eat well for a week and of course I caught a cold
The weather has been great the last couple of days. Very nice, but a little bit irritating when you’re walking around with a scarf and coughing all the time. Tomorrow the weather will again be very nice, so I’m thinking of shooting some photos of Amsterdam. Like almost every big city Amsterdam is beautiful and ugly (or is it dirty?) at the same time
But I just want some sunny pictures of Amsterdam now that I won’t be going to Portugal
Ohh~ I said I didn’t have time to sulk about it eeey. Right, it’s back to the books for me. Hope to get back to you all later with some sunny pics

Sucks that you can’t go to Portugal. College is hard eh? But I’m glad you like it
So… you are still attending Leiden University too? I thought you quit there… *confused*
Awww, sorry to hear you’re not able to go to Portugal because of your super busy school schedule
Urgh, I wake up at 7:15.. not too early.. but 6:30 is really early urghhh! Anyway, good luck with your future school work ![]()
Hang in there girl! You can get through it :). I am having a hard time in school myself and i’m scared for my grades and how im going to get all my work done this school year.
I’m luving he layout, I have a thing for Paris and all so it really appeals to me :). & I really like your puppy avatar, it’s so cute! XD
I don’t envy you at all having to do presentations and the like. That’s one reason I’m glad I’m not in school anymore!
studying abroad sounds like so much fun (and work). sometimes i wish i were still in school to do it. oh well, yay for dropping out?
i think every new city i visit is full of beautiful photo-ops. yet my hometown is just as boring as always. i love new scenery.
enjoy it some for me!

Aww… It sucks that you can’t go to Portugal! But I guess you know your priorities. Don’t forget to relax and take some time off though, it is very important not to get stressed with work and studying. Try meditating or something
I think I would have gone to Portugal though, no matter what!
And get well!
OMG! My Anti-spam wod was pocky! I love that stuff! okay, sorry for the randomness…
Well sorry that you wont be able to go to Portugal. A similar thing happened to me a year ago. I had to decide on weather to go on a trip to the Philippines or stay persistant in my classes and not slip. I ended up staying in school and I definately think it was the best choice, probably because I would have missed 5 tests and a lot of notes.
Good luck with your schooling. Its always difficult the first couple weeks, but once you get in a good routine, like starting your assignments early (something taht I havent done very well) and getting up earlier than needed is always good. Just dont forget to have a good night sleep and to eat, because there is nothing worst than sitting in a class for over 45 minutes, sleepy and hungry.
It looks like school is not giving you a lot of free time… Too bad for the trip to Portugal, really. Good luck though, and keep it up!
Ah, sounds like you have been busy, busy, busy. Haha, me too.
Thats a major bummer that you won’t be going to Portugal. But, it is good that you won’t miss class. I hate missing classes, and then spending weeks getting caught back up.
Gah, you caught a cold? That sucks…. I hope you feel better soon!
Man, I feel ya on trying to stay focused. I recently started my third year as a Chemistry/Psychology major and my classes are intense! I hope you can find some time to relax.
Aww, too bad about Portugal! I’ve seen pictures and the whole landscape is so very picturesque. I DO hope you get to go some other time!
And I definately know how you feel about school - sometimes you just get so caught up in all your assignments, I can’t even imagine how busy you must be!
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

Sorry to hear you’e not able to go to Portugal because of your busy school schedule :/
Ugh, I don’t think I could get up at 6:30 anymore, I’m so used to not waking up before 11
But I’m glad you’re sleeping more now and I hope you get jín better shape soon
