Braces Blues Begins!

After wearing an expander for almost 2.5 months, it was finally time to put my braces in  It only took 30 minutes to get my expander out and the brackets on. I have to return over 5 weeks, in the meantime I will be able to adjust to living with braces without having extra pressure on them :D Oh~ the brackets are ceramic, so they’re not that geeky as iron ones :P But I still feel it looks kinda like candy is stuck on my teeth or something, haha~

So yesterday Klaas came to visit me in Leiden. We decided to meet up at Amsterdam Central Station and travel to Leiden together, since I had class at UvA till 17h00. We had some yummy pancakes with apple & cinnamon for dinner and tiramisu as desert  We wanted to take a nice bath before going to bed, but we got so caught up in playing Playboy Mansion on Playstation 2, we decided to take a long shower in the morning instead. The game is really lame though, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

Klaas gave me a lift on my bike to the orthodontist this morning and went back to Amsterdam after my appointment and after we went somewhere for a drink. Although my braces don’t hurt just yet, I really appreciated that  Waaii~ Klaas usually shops for clothes on his own, but he thought it was ok if I went along the next time. I’m so happy, I really need to drag him to the new River Island store that has finally opened its doors in Amsterdam! Ohh maybe we’ll go to the The Devil Wears Prada too… :( Right now, it’s back to doing homework!

Nice and Tidy

My roommate is currently staying in Nagasaki, Japan for one whole year :P He’s so lucky! Having the house all for myself would seriously double or maybe triple my rent, so I’m glad I have a new roommate. Ahh~ yes, he’s also a guy and a fellow student Japanese, he studied at the University of Nagasaki last year and was looking for a room in Leiden. Other then my ‘formal’ roommate he’s super tidy - it’s so nice :D The house is super clean and sooooo spacious!

Klaas promised to visit my place in Leiden Wednesday, I usually go to his place in Amsterdam  I’m really curious on how he will react when he sees the nice and tidy apartment. I bought some very nice aroma Heaven with bamboo sticks at my new favorite store Sabon in Amsterdam. The toilet smells heavenly  I plan on turning the bathroom into a real spa with some great products from Sabon.

I’m so enjoying Tomb Raider: Legend :) I’ve finished 65% of the game and I’m currently exploring Nepal which is definitely the most difficult level I have encountered in the game so far. Talking about games, I really want to go to Gameplay - the biggest game event in The Netherlands! Nothing can beat the Tokyo Game Show, but I think it would be a fun day out. Let’s see how much free goodies I can collect in the goodie bag

Ahh~ better get some sleep. Tomorrow I have the day off, but it’s back to homework and doing the grocery shopping. Well, that’s after I’ve watched the first episode of Supernatural which finally got aired in The Netherlands…

They’re Back !

Postcards from Portugal Leather wallet
Fan Fan | flower detail
Beads Jewelry

Saturday - really really early in the morning my parents and sister got back from their trip to Portugal. During their vacation they didn’t forget about me and so I already spoke to them a couple of times on the phone. They also send me some postcards :D I love to receive and send postcards! When they returned they also brought me some gifts  A leather wallet, a beautiful fan from Sevilla (Spain) and some jewelry. I love all the gifts  thanks mom, dad & big sister !!!

Unfortunately they left the good weather in Portugal, because it will be raining all week long here in The Netherlands :( I guess autumn has really begun. But what I love about autumn is wearing those soft knit sweaters, drinking hot chocolate, cuddling up together with your loved one and watch movies  Oooh~ I can make my autum pancakes now; with apples, cinnamon and loads of sirup! Is there a better way to warm up after walking around in the rain with a broken umbrella? Ha, nothing like that ever happend, but oh well…

College is going ok too - I already handed in 1 paper, did 2 presentations, handed in a bunch of weekly assignments and already made 1 exam  Come to think of it, better get back to my homework! Enjoy autumn everybody~
