Climbing the Mountain

Mt. Fuji Mt. Fuji

Living the life of a college student somehow feels like climbing a mountain. At first you see the mountain from far away and you can see the top clearly - that’s where you want to go! But when you get closer to the mountain and start to climb it, your view changes and you can’t see where you’re going anymore. Of course there are signs to help you stick to your path, but you can also get lost in the clouds not knowing if you will ever reach the top. Right now I feel like I’m at a checkpoint where I can see the top of the mountain again :D

Somehow being busy really helps me to stay focused and motivated  It’s strange, at the beginning of Spring I felt totally lost and wanted to quit studying Japanese. コミュニケーション科学は面白いです。 I decided to start studying Communication Science at the University of Amsterdam, but I also kept my registration at Leiden University. Even though life has become even more busy, I really feel energized! :P Classes are so much fun and build up knowledge is starting to pay off. 嬉しいですよ。

I guess I like the fact I’m learning new things and I’m busy building a broader skill set :) 勉強をするは本当に楽しい。 At the end of this year I hope to meet the propedeutic exam of Communication Science at UvA, finally obtain my International Management Certificate and work hard so I can finish my BA Japanese at Leiden University next college year. That is when everything goes perfect  うんっ がんばっています。 I wouldn’t mind finishing my BA Japanese later, but I do want to get my BA Japanese while I’m studying Communication Science and be rewarded with a Msc degree.

But staring too much to the top of the mountain, can make you lose sight of what is in front of you and you might trip over a rock. So it’s back to studying and making homework for now :P *ugyuuu*
