Only 10 to go!

Classes of the 2nd block of the 1st semester at UvA have started. Yesterday I found out I passed both classes of the 1st block  :twinkle: Introduction to Communication Science was pretty hard work with two exams and a practicum class. Next to ICW I also had a practicum class where students learned some basic skills like analyzing scientific papers and such. The final assignment was reviewing & analyzing two scientific papers in the field of Communication Science

I decided to review a paper about gaming at a LAN event and one about online friendship. I wasn’t sure how well I did on it - I even dreamt about getting an insufficient grade! Yesterday my teacher returned my grade and I got an 8.9/10  !!! A few days earlier I received my grade for an assignment of one of my new courses and I got a 9.5/10 :crown: Getting these positive grades really make me feel soooo productive *aheheh*

The 2nd block of the 1st semester is going pretty ok I guess. The Social Psychology course is definitely my favorite, but Methods of Research is pretty challenging and fun too. We learn how to work with SPSS so we can analyze statistics and such  It can be very confusing at times, but it’s fun to work with actual data instead of reading about research all the time…

When I started the 150 Movies Challenge back in March (!) I never thought I would actually pull it off; watching 150 movies in 2006. But with only 10 movies to go and 3 dvds already waiting for me to watch this weekend - I’m close to completing this challenge !!! :cup: For my fellow participants: I’m going to check your movielists (and booklists) in the first week of January 2007, those who have completed the challenge will be given an award ;) xoxo

[edit] Although I really liked the * Walnut Tree * layout, I couldn’t resist getting a new layout online. I guess my rose pink phone has rubbed off on me… :) :tune: [/edit]
