Madrid

Madrid - Puerta del Sol

 I can´t believe I´m actually sitting behind a pc and able to update this post! I´m currently at a public computer room at the University of Madrid, while Klaas is making a midterm test :( Instead of making me wait for him at home, he dragged me along and let me entertain myself with a computer and internet connection. He knows no internet connection can be hard for this gendai ko :P But I´m glad I was able to mail my parents and sister who really wanted to know how the flight went.

My sister wanted to wish me a safe journey so she came to the airport to see me off. That was truly sweet of her. I know she´s always pretty busy with her work, so… She gave me a cute card with some pocket money for my stay in Madrid :clover: She really wants to travel by herself too, but she doesn´t really have the confidence to do so. She always tells me how she admires me for having the guts for going alone to a concert (!) or travelling all the way to Madrid to visit my ex boyfriend!

S´okay what about Madrid? I seriously love the airport - I wasn´t able to make photographs because I had to hurry and meet up with Klaas (midterm and all). So I will definitely make photographs when I return to The Netherlands. The flight went pretty well too! I flew with Vueling - the seats were a little tight and the personal barely spoke understandable English, but I survived! :) If you want to fly to Madrid for little money, you should definitely check them out!

The airplane I sat in on my way to Madrid !!! Photo taken on Schiphol, Amsterdam

 :ugh: I was melting in the subway, but everybody still seemed to be wearing their winter or fall coats and didn´t have a problem with the temperature - insane! After the hectic subway trip we arrived at Puerta del Sol, Klaas´ lives really close by EVERYTHING! I can´t wait to check things out after he has finished his midterm test *sigh* Right I´ve updated enough - mata ne!

I hope you are having a nice time and will come back safe and with some words of Spanish;-)

Enjoy Madrid! It’s beautiful there. I’ve studied the architecture in Spain and they have some very interesting buildings. If you get to visit Barcelona, check out Gaudi’s Casa Mila!
