Catharsis
:ugh: Kyaaaaa~ I’m so busy in RL & SL - sometimes it’s nice to blow off some steam. So I listen a lot to the Blackstones’ songs on the NANA Best album and scream along when making homework, I also dance around in my room when I find the time. But since all my videogame time is going into Second Life I have no time to play with my Playstation 2 - the gameconsole that has stimulated me in many ways *sigh* I wanna be a fierceless dynasty warrior again, explore that magical world of Final Fantasy XII again or become one again with Naked Snake to fight HOT young ocelot in Metal Gear Solid 3.
Talking about Metal Gear Solid :saylove:
I so can’t wait for the fourth installment on Playstation 3! I’ve been watching the trailer and Raiden’s return with a lot of *oooooohs* and *aaaaaaahs* - feeling very satisfied after the trailer has ended
haha~ Talking about catharsis !!! If you also want to watch the jawdropping clip, please head over to my Youtube account and watch it here !!! :!!!: Please note: the featured clip has some violent content. So don’t watch it if you don’t like fighting, robots, hot guys, katana’s and exoskeletons ~

Even though my avatar in Second Life is more of an extension of myself, I’ve decided to set up a special blog for my avatar over at Vox, you can visit my avatar’s blog here :twinkle:
Here you can find in-world photographs, adventures and my thoughts about SL in general - being a communication science student and all… Haha~
Exhausted~
Time seems to be flying - I’ve been so busy trying to fit 2 days into 1, that it’s starting to break me up. Of course my new SL addiction isn’t helping much either. It’s good to talk to people in my time zone, but talking to people from Brazil or the USA is hard
Just yesterday at 0:00 am I had so say goodbye to a friend from Brazil, because I had to catch the train at 8:00 am for classes in Amsterdam at 11:00 am till 5:00 pm - too bad because we were just busy catching up after not hanging out in SL for a couple of days.
There’s always a big plus when it comes to a game addiction. Your eating pattern totally changes, at least mine does. After a healthy breakfast and good lunch, I only need a small dinner. Totally ignoring snacks and drinking water behind my laptop
:twinkle: thus losing my winterfat! Hahaha~ my mom used to nag about my sweet tooth, eating too much - now she wants me to eat MORE ! *gulp* But because I’m also a heavy commuter, spending up to 2,5 hours in a train or running around Amsterdam Central to catch the subway
I’m really watching my weight loss closely, still need some reserves for those busy times!
Yesterday my day was filled with Media Economics - it’s really interesting :saylove:
And together with 3 fellow students I will have to give a presentation in two weeks about the game industry in The Netherlands! There are some big players here and we have to find out if the goverment should support the game industry because it’s good for the Dutch economy
わああああい~ 面白いだね !!! I’m so excited, because we’re going to try to invite a person from the game industry to come talk during our presentation. He/she can help clear things up a bit more, because it seems not many people in my practicum class are actually interested in games.
じゃ、このごろ本当に嬉しいです。Even my mom notices how happy I am lately - she told me I’ve been waaaay more 元気 than during my Leiden University days. Hahaha~ so I guess even though I’m exhausted - I’m doing great ~ Stands up now to dance and sing-a-long with the ultimate happy song Groovy! ~
Catch up!
Saturday I went to see my optometrist (?) for a check-up and a quickscan. I have really bad eyesight and I wanted to see if I was able to get laser surgery. Unfortunately my cornea is too thin so it wouldn’t be wise to have laser surgery. Next to that my pupil is really large so that means no implant lenses either *gulp* Even though my eyesight is bad my eyes are pretty healthy - I can be happy about that. The optometrist, who has been monitoring my eyes for 7 years now, felt really sorry for me. But since I’ve been wearing glasses and contacts for a large part of my life I didn’t feel really sad about it. He was suprised I was so sober about it
During the examination we started to talk about Second Life
He even looked it up on his computer and because he doesn’t have Windows at home, but Linux he started to look for a version for Linux! He said he COULD download it, but he WOULDN’T do it. And he started to chat about how he wasn’t a computer nerd, didn’t like Windows XP and how he installed Linux. I told him there were pretty scary stories on the web about people’s relations ruined because of Second Life and cyber cheating. He said that same things could happen with MSN and other things were you get in contact with eachother. And who said he wasn’t a computer nerd?
びっくりしましたよ ~
Even though I love to play SL I’ve been focusing on my school things too - of course. I’m busy with finishing my application for the Social Information Science minor, I only have to register for some classes now. I’m also insanely busy with understanding media economics, external communication and setting up a decent survey with my fellow project members
And I’ve just learned Leiden University students already are in their final week of college! I still have a few weeks to go ~ 心配しないで。I’m having a good time :saylove:
