[edit]View the opening of the concert at Gelredome, Arnhem at Youtube ~ [/edit]
Last night I went to Tiësto’s concert at Gelredome, Arnhem :saylove:
The show was part of his big Elements of Life tour and I must say I enjoyed every minute of it! I fell in love with dj Tiësto just before he got his big break with his hit single Flight 643 and first saw him live during a 9 hours Royal Set (Dutch Dimensions 02.02.2002). Now 5 years later - I really love how his style has evolved ~
The evening started with a very nice performance of JES signed under Tiësto’s Black Hole recordings / Magik Musik - she also does the vocals for the song EVERYTHING on Tiësto’s new cd, hahaha~ yes the one that inspired me to do this layout. But I didn’t know she also sung the song from Motorcycle ‘As the rush comes…’ - I went totally crazy when she started to sing the song. It’s so one of my favorites and I screamed along even though the song was released some years ago! Don’t remember the song? It seems you can listen to her stuff here on her website
Kyaaaaaa~ I want to have her album now!
Tiësto started off doing more of his new rocktronic style. It was so cool, because I really felt like I was at a live poprock concert! It felt so fresh and new and different and good - it blew my mind! I love how Tiësto is pushing his limits, exploring new things
I read about how he’s also influenced by German minimal - you could really sense it in the music he played during the night. Next to that he played a lot of older songs which were all my favorites. So everytime he started to mix over to the next song I recognized them early on and screamed my lungs out. Haha~ yes I acted like a true fangirl :twinkle:
But it’s so exciting when your favorite dj picks out a song you’ve also played on your stereo in your own bedroom while dancing around in your underwear ~
The visuals during the concert were very beautiful too! I really liked all the footage on the immensive videowall supporting the whole ‘elements of life’ theme. Next to that the water and fireworks were pretty nice too ~ I really think this is my most favorite Gelredome - Arnhem performance (out of 3), because of the good mix between the new rocktronic style and all my old(er) favorite songs
:crown: I still think I like the ambiance of his performances at HMH in Amsterdam more, because it’s more intimate with 5.000 people instead of 25.000 at the Gelredome.
Dear Tijs,
Thank you for the great evening - I loved every minute of it! You looked hot as usual *sigh* Please keep up the good work ~
 xoxo

oh gosh i hate concerts. my first concert was b2k/imx (i dont know if youve ever heard of them) NEVER AGAIN, lol. too many females. not my cup of joe. glad you had fun!
Wow, what a great opening. O.O You can usually tell what the tone of the concert will be within the first few minutes of it’s beginning and it looks and sounds like that was an awesome concert! Lucky!
Hey, I signed up for your 12 in 2007 contest but I noticed you haven’t updated the list in nearly a month. Are you still excepting members or is the contest abandoned now?
Yay for fangirling.
I’ve yet to go to these kind of concerts to feel the spirit. Glad to see you really enjoyed it, though. ![]()
Wow, sounds like youo had a hell of a time. HAHA I can see you acting like a fan girl. Hell I would probabaly act like that too…
I wanted to go to a concert like that. (Example: Shiny Toy Guns) I can’t though T___T all of them end up on school days…..
I’ll see the vid later, promise. I have to go to school LOL.
Haha, you are totally a fangirl! But thats okay, everyone deserves to fangirl about something.
Glad you had fun at the concert! It seems like you had an awesome time ^_^
It certainly sounds like you had a great time. I’m so glad that they were able to leave such a last impression on you. Few artists are able to do that now a days, so lucky you!
The concert sounds very interesting. I haven’t been to many concerts before; just mainly the ones I perform in. (I play clarinet.) I would really like to go to an opera, though.

HI, ThAt’s SO AWESOME!! I’m so excited about the ‘elements of life ‘ tour. i’m going to see Tiësto in New York City on July 19th. I’m going with my brother. This will be my first time goingt to a Tiësto concert. I have the Tiësto Concert on DVD 2004. But finally I’m seeing the most AwEsOmE DJ TiëSTo LIVE!! OMG!!!!!!!!
I saw some footage on myspace of an ‘elements’ show in London. AMAZING!!
I was wondering if there was any way to find a list of the songs Tiësto is playing. Will Tiësto play ‘Silence’ or anything from the ’search for sunrise 4 and 5′ ? Wht is the last song? There’s a couple of songs that I want to get so badly but cant’s find on CD. Oh was wondering what time the show you saw started. The show starts at 9PM. How long is the concert? Is it gonna be 3 hours? I wish it was a 9 hour set.. HAHA Hope to hear your reply soon. bye….
xoxoxo matt

Sounds like you had fun! I mean, the way you described every part of it… really shows your side of that *cough* FAN GIRL *cough*
I see you’ve danced in your underwear once before hand. I can likely say the same
*sigh* They’ve gotta have more of this stuff in the U.S. =D
