Holiday

 :twinkle: So I’m finally enjoying the first week of summervacation, but instead of relaxing in my hometown and be a total pest to my parents, I’m in Leiden together with Klaas. I only planned on staying during the weekend and let Klaas stay in my room alone, but I changed my mind. I don’t think I can leave Klaas alone in my room, he might … break things *sigh* He’s truly not a good roommate :( my current official roommate is waaaaay more tidy, Klaas is bwahhhhh~

Even though I have to keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn’t touch the things of my roommate, like all the alcoholic drinks and yummie food, it’s fun to have him around. We watched a couple of movies, like all installments of ‘The Godfather’, ‘Dancer in The Dark’ and ‘Trainspotting’ :present: And we finally exchanged birthday gifts! Klaas gave me two Japanese movies; the original Shall we dansu ? and Hana to Arisu :saylove: :) I watched ‘Shall we dansu?’ a very long time ago and I loved it - so I’m really happy I finally have it in my collection. I also got a movie for Klaas, but he pointed it to me and I forgot the name of it … now so :P

We also went for a couple of walks through Leiden. After classes in Amsterdam I usually just relax in my room and hardly go out much. But Leiden is actually a very nice city, especially during the summer :cafe: :cake2: We went out for dinner at Oloroso Grande Cantina, visited the Hortus Botanicus and went for a drink at several nice cafe’s. But even though our trips sound pretty casual and carefree, conversations with Klaas are pretty hard. He doesn’t like smalltalk at all  and he only wants to talk about big philosophers and how he thinks Second Life is stupid. When he’s like that I usually engage in a fierce less discussion and we try to ‘checkmate’ each other. But with the sun out … finally having summervacation …

I realized Klaas isn’t really a ‘nice guy’ at all when he’s truly himself   I looked at him during one of his philosophical monologues and the words of the Sweet Talking Stranger came back to me: “Gemini’s are difficult men…” *gulp* Could it really be true ?!! Hahaha~ I think nobody ever says to Klaas that he’s not always right and that’s in some way kinda sad… I hope someday he will see that the way he’s acting isn’t good at all and can be very intimidating towards other people. I don’t think I’m the person who can help him with that anymore. The only thing I can do is listen, smile and look up to the blue sky - it’s holiday people ~

It’s a shame that he might really be like that. Confidence is good… but at only the right amount. Too much… is so difficult :[.

Hey, I loved reading your blog. You’re really insightful and I love the way you describe things. Keep up the great work, Lucyx

Oh I’ve just checked out those two films you mentioned, they look quite good. I have to agree though, over confidence in any person can be difficult, especially when they don’t realise they can be wrong.

I can’t really stand it when people think they’re always right because then they automatically assume that everyone else is… It just makes me want to prove them wrong just so that they know…

Haha~ some guys are like that, I suppose. Many guys I know are just how you described. But still, even with how he is, I’m sure he has some good points to him that other people will see.

*GASP* He thinks Second Life is stupid?! Haha~ Obviously he’s never played it before. O.o
