The French Guy

I always wonder if life acts like the seasons and some opportunities return in a fixed pattern…

On Wednesday I travelled to Amsterdam for classes. I was sitting in the train with my PSP plugged in and my nose in my new Traktor bible :) After we passed the train station of Schiphol Amsterdam Airport a guy came up to me and he asked if it was the train to Amsterdam - it sure was. He sat down unpacked his bag and grabbed a map ;) ahh so clearly a tourist. I’m used to tourists in the train so I didn’t pay much attention and went on reading my book.

Suddenly the guy started talking to me again  I quickly plugged out my PSP so I could pay attention to his words :P He asked me if I knew a good place to stay, where all the good shops and restaurants were and shoved his map on my lap *gulp* I pointed a few things out to him on the map and told him to first go to the Tourist Information Centre after reaching Amsterdam Central station. He kept on smiling while he carefully listened to my ‘have to visit list’, I looked at him and noticed … he wasn’t badlooking at all BUT then I smelled it  :twinkle: h his perfume ~ Exactly the perfect blend and right tones *gasp*

He told me he was in Amsterdam for one day because of work and has never been to Amsterdam before so he didn’t know what to expect or where to begin. Hahaha~ I told him he should come back during summer because one day in Amsterdam is just too short! If the weather was better I would’ve showed him around Amsterdam and of course if I didn’t have any classes *sigh* I looked at him and the Sweet Talking Stranger came back to me. I could’ve easily told this French guy we could hook up later so I could help him out, but it started to feel like a bad chicklit. When the train pulled into Amsterdam I took one more whiff of his perfume - smiled and wished him goodluck :P

 Just like last year I passed up this opportunity … hahah, I’m already curious what next year will bring me!
