Change
I have been so busy lately I haven’t been able to write a proper blogpost. After I returned to Leiden after spending a lovely weekend at my hometown and finding the kitchen of my appartment in the most disgusting state I have ever seen in 4 years decided to plan my ‘big move’ a bit earlier then ’somewhere in the middle of May’. I share an appartment with my former fellow student Japanese language, unfortunately he’s a big fan of clutter and well… since I already planned on moving out I didn’t feel like looking at all the stuff anymore
It’s insane to clean up the dishes and bits of leftovers of a whole guy group. Gahh - simply cleaning up after cooking or having dinner isn’t that hard … *le sigh*
I’m going to move out on March 30th with the help of my sister and one of her friends who owns a van. So starting from April I will live in my hometown again. For all the people who thought I planned on munching of my parents *lol* I already planned to pay for boarding which is around 55% of the rent of my appartment in Leiden. And of course I will pay for luxury products, like those special salmon slices for on your sandwich *tee-hee* My brother is already a big fan of the salmon I introduced for breakfast
Hahaha my parents were pretty surprised when I told them about the deal and they agreed. Because our old router was making strange buzz sounds I bought a new router to handle the traffic. So no more slowdowns when someone uses the old computer and me using my laptop at the same time. It’s really a nice model and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good router.
Even though I have been having some hardware (connection) problems while doing my DJ gigs in the virtual world of Second Life, I have decided to not give up yet. Thanks to the REAL DJ guy Luci who has been a big supporter! *hugs* I’ve also been asked to do a club opening this Friday … *gulp* Hahah, I’m looking forward to it and I’ve been very busy with finding the hottest tracks to play. Even though I usually play eclectic house / dance tracks I experimented with some funkier sounds, I even played ‘Sexual Healing’ by Marvin Gaye. I was totally surprised our VIP’s didn’t run since they usually hear totally different music. Now I’m working on a dirty funk set with loads of Lenny Kravitz and of course James Brown “Aaaaauwwwww~ … get up, stay on the scene LIKE A SEX MACHINE !!!”
*tee-hee*
Work is going pretty well too. Today I had my half year review an important moment because I would hear if I would get my contract renewed. Hahah~ and yeahhh my contract got renewed for 1 whole year! They still think I’m a little too sweet on the phone and should be a little more strict. But hey ~ that’s why I’m on customer service for - to help the customer right? Hehehe, I guess being a bit soft is a quality all customer service workers have on my job. School stuff is going slow and now I just really have to study my ass off for the upcoming finals. I’ve also decided to take a week vacation from work to focus solely on my finals
Since I’ve become ‘La fille dans le train’ again my best friend has become my iPod Touch. The thing is amazing (super battery power) and I’m slowly using it as a planner too. I’m also looking into using it as an e-book reader like the way I transformed
my PSP into an e-book reader. I would like to convert my college notes into e-books so I could study in the train AND listen to music at the same time while travelling! Sometimes travelling by train can be a pain, because of defect trains or other delays. But you know … cruising through the Dutch landscape seeing the sun rise or set - it’s beautiful! I will try to make more photos and even videoclips during my commuting so I can share it with you an my weblog!
Time to wrap it up, till the next blogpost !!!
P.s. Thank you for all the comments on my last post *hugs*

I kinda think moving is fun, but I guess that is something only people who don’t have to carry boxes can say ^^;;
did you ever post a mix you made here? I’d totally love to hear something from your dj work. It’s not really my kind of music, but I’d love to be persuaded ^^
commuting can be a bit of a pain, if you have to travel an hour or something. my sister works in munich and for her it turned into leaving home at 6am and coming home at 6/7pm. Kinda sucks but it makes for a good routine I guess. you get some peace before you come back into your chaotic home XD

That is really great about getting a spot at a club. I bet that is exciting, unless you have done it a lot than I guess it wouldn’t be. I love your site. I will be an regular reader.
Happy moving. I would love to see some pics of the dutch countryside. Never been!

Have I mentioned how much I adore your site? I especially love the spiffy layout - it’s just too cute!
It’s so hard being someone who likes everything neat and organized living with someone who likes clutter. I had once had a roommate like that, and she drove me CRAZY! I always ended up being the one who did all of the cleaning because she actually liked having crap everywhere. *lol* I don’t blame you for wanting to move.

Aha, you seem busy. Have fun moving.
I hate cleaning after clutter too, so good for you from getting away from his clutter. xP

Congrats and good luck on your move! It’s a huge step to a lot more independence.
I really wish I had an iPod touch… it seems so cool and sleek in every way. I can’t believe there are so many uses for it!

Your blog post is fine. I don’t think I myself have written anything decent in my life on the ‘net. xD

Sucks to have a room-mate that is messy. At least you were planning on moving in the first place. I hope all goes well in that department for you!

My housemates don’t clean up their dishes right after they cook or use them. I really resent that and feel your pain. I cannot wait to move out of the place I am in now!! Hang in there!

Ewww dirty dishes! Lol. Congrats on moving out, I guess you’re officially moving in three days then? Woot!
What’s Second Life if you don’t mind me asking?

Moving sounds like it would be so much fun. It’s more like just a giant declutterization. I want to move. Oh well..
Good luck with all of it! I hope you get settled soon in your home town!

Moving is fun, even better with your parents.
