Super Saturday Mix 04.08

Woahh I can’t believe how fast time is going at the moment *gulp* Today I’m sharing with you my 3rd Super Saturday Mix for the month April! Other than last time I managed to mix all songs myself :D

Unfortunately I didn’t have much time to prepare the set since I received new songs the day before I had to create the mix. It’s a little rougher than I planned, but after listening to it a couple of times I’m still pleased with it :) I’m really excited about the fact I was able to mix all songs myself and not use a block of already mixed songs. Using unmixed songs gives me a lot of freedom, but getting a good structure is harder too - I think. Planning the first track - tracks in the middle - rise up and finale …

At the start I always think I can’t pull it off, but hahaha in the end it all goes well. I’m still mixing using the basic set up of Traktor 3 : installed on my laptop and controlled by a mouse. More and more I realize it’s very limiting to work like this, as if I’m dj-ing with one hand tied up on my back. So I have my eyes on the Hercules DJ Console MK2 :mrgreen: With this little gizmo I hope to have more control over the whole mixing proces and make smoother mixes ;)

Bad Hair Day

We all have one from time to time… maybe because you’ve overslept or slept at a friend’s place and realize you left your favorite hairproducts at home :P On Friday I also had a bad hairday …

I just recently cut my hair and even let the hairdresser dye my hair. I have very dark hair and now I have a slight tint lighter, only when you stare at it for a long time and compare my hair with my eyebrows you can see the difference *lol* And now that it’s shorter the soft curls are back too. On Thursday evening I slept over at Lucifer’s place, no problem I always use his shampoo and finish with my own products. But after getting out of the shower I found out I forget the stuff I use BEFORE blowdrying my hair :( *gulp*

I got ready as usual without that ‘essential step’ and headed out to work. I always love to be early at work so I’m able to unwind a bit before starting by drinking a coffee or some hot cocoa :D Suddenly the guy at the lunchroom asked if I did something with my hair because it looked nice. It also reminded it him of an actress in a TV show - er, O K … it turned out it wouldn’t be the only compliment I would get about my hair :P During the day almost all supervisors gave me compliments about my hair and even some colleagues :oops:

Even on a good hairday I don’t receive THAT much compliments ;) So hey, next time you are having a bad hairday - think about it, it might not be that bad at all *tee-hee*
