Watch it!
Today I needed to go to the optometrist (?) to check my eyesight. He again talked about getting laser surgery, but I reminded him last time I visited him he also did a quickscan to see if my cornea was thick enough to support the laser surgery -and it wasn’t. He looked at me and said he wanted to check it again
So I had to take out my lenses and again measure my cornea with a special thingie *gahhhh*
Of course the result was the same but I already knew it. I told him I seriously didn’t mind if I wasn’t able to get any laser surgery. I have been wearing contactlenses for almost 10 years so … not getting any laser surgery wouldn’t change much for me *lol* Still he felt a little disappointed and said he wished it was possible. He noticed my watch on my wrist and commented that it was a beautiful watch. He asked me what brand it was and if he could take a look at it. Ever since Chris gave it to me I’ve been wearing the Swatch Full Blooded Gold watch (!) everytime I go out.
My optometrist looked at it with much interest and told me he used to be a big fan of Swatch watches and that he was working on restoring the old watch of his father. He even looked up the pictures of it on the internet! It was really cool to talk about watches with him because I’m very interested in them nowadays too. I bought some special watch magazines and read about the technology and (what I find very interesting) the history of watches and old brands.
It’s unfortunate that I haven’t seen much nice lady watches out there. Maybe it’s because I like somewhat manly watches
I still think my Full Blooded Gold watch is the most beautiful watch I own *tee-hee* Oh and my optometrist is truly a cool guy. The last time he also checked out Second Life™ on his pc …. Hahahaha ~
